N1 - Introduction High Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV) has been shown to improve oxygenation and ventilation in premature neonates with respiratory distress syndrome and in those with evolving chronic lung disease. Higher positive end expiratory pressure (PEEP) use in HFJV has been associated with improving lung compliance and reducing ventilator requirements.
