N1 - We report the first I-V measurements of a negative ion mediated, molecular manipulation process, propose a model involving field-induced shifting of the resonance which predicts a disordering rate symmetric about zero sample bias, and then extend the displaced harmonic oscillator model to account for the larg slope in the I-V curve found for c(8 × 2) benzoate/Cu(110).
