Magnetic resonance imaging of the pediatric female pelvis: A pictorial essay

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of the adult female pelvis is a well-established tool in the evaluation of pelvic pathology and is often used as a supplement to sonography. MR imaging of the pediatric female pelvis is rapidly gaining acceptance, probably secondary to the faster sequences and imaging times and the use of focused MR coils, which allow better resolution of small structures. In this review article, the MR appearance of the various congenital anomalies and pathologic entities of the pediatric female pelvis is shown.
