note = "Funding Information: In conclusion, this study demonstrates that GBE decreased oxidative burst in murine macrophages. GBE also inhibited lipid peroxidation in PAEC. By using oxidative injury models, GBE was shown to reverse the decreased cell viability and to decrease LDH leakage from PAEC. In light of these antioxidant effects and preference of the general public for natural medicines, GBE possesses broad prospects for application and exploitation• Acknowledgements --The technical assistance of Elsa Francis is gratefully appreciated.
