N2 - Phenyl and substituted phenyl N-methylcarbamates were chromatographed in the gas phase in polar, nonpolar, and mixed polarity liquid phases. Phenyl, 3-methylphenyl, and 3,5-dimethylphenyl N-methylcarbamates were chromatographed with little decomposition and successfully separated from their phenolic moieties in a mixed polarity liquid phase. Retention times for the carbamates and/or their phenolic moieties in the liquid phases at various temperatures are reported.
