An animal model for the study of immunopathogenesis of periapical lesions

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

A review of the use of animal models in the study of the pathogenesis of periapical lesions is presented. The cat model is recommended because of its availability, ease of handling and anesthetizing, and useful pulpal anatomy for endodontic experimentations.
